She was very polite, friendly and I started working with her to buy a house. We face a dry market with few houses in the Morgantown-Fairmont area. For the few houses that I like, several buyers were competing offering more money on top of the asking price. Erika was supportive of my frustration, we make several offers for houses, and all of them end up being rejected because someone else put in more money or offer a cash payment. I was giving up and Erika was understanding that I need some time. I resumed the search a few weeks later. More houses, we make more offers, and we got more rejections. Finally, I found a house that was just put up for sale. I visit the house. A nice, big house in a secluded place, surrounded by trees but relatively close to town. The ideal house for me. I did not wait for a second and made an offer for it. Erika was very diligent and professional, she crosses emails with me for signing all the paperwork. The offer was accepted and we move on with a mortgage company that she kindly suggest to me. The process moved, not without rocks, but Erika was always there to move the obstacles when they appeared. Inspections, appraisals, three earnest money checks, written and delivered to an equal number of recipients, changes to terms of the contract, and more documents to sign. Erika was always professional, efficient, honest, and proactive. Finally, on May 30th, 2023, I leave the closing attorney's office with the house deed in one hand and the house keys in the other. Erika was instrumental in making that possible in flashing four weeks. I was very pleased with Erika's helpful management of the process. Her commission was well deserved. She worked hard all along the way, visiting houses, making offers, scheduling the inspection, and redacting many of the documents involved. Erika is a good person.
